Why Trivia Night?

Fellowship – Desire to come together as a community and enjoy each other’s company.  We would like to welcome back those who continue to participate in our trivia night year over year.  And a special welcome to those who are joining us for the first time!  We’re so glad you’re here and our desire is that together we all have the most desirable evening.

Faith – Desire to test our knowledge of the Catholic faith and to learn more.  We hope that through this year’s trivia and the unique themes throughout each of the rounds you will discover some new jewels that will leave you in awe of the beauty of the Church and her influence in our lives.  We will have seven rounds of trivia broken into three sections. 

Fundraising – Desire to help support the mission and ministry of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.  This event is one of the few fundraising efforts the parish does throughout the year and the parish is reliant on a successful event.  Dollars raised tonight go to the general fund so that they can best be used wherever needed throughout the year.

Handmade Crosses

We just received the one of the neatest donations for our upcoming Trivia Night. Mr. Wagner (a parishioner) has made wooden crosses from the pews from St. Peter.

We have some fun ways for participants to win/bid on these unique items at our upcoming event on Saturday, March 18.  You won't want to miss this opportunity. 

Individuals can then pick out and purchase their own corpse and it can be transformed into a crucifix. This is a pretty unique item that will have a lot of sentimental value! 

For some this is the parish where -

• you met your spouse
• you were married
• you baptized a child
• you said goodbye to a loved one
• you joined the church
• you came home to the church
• you or family members received the sacraments
• you were inspired by the liturgical beauty of the Mass

Heads or Tails - A new twist to a raffle

We're putting a fun spin on raffles this year!  Throughout the evening there will be opportunities to "buy-in" to a chance to win unique prizes. 

Here is how it will work: 

•Each participant pays their $10 buy-in (i.e. their ticket) and stands in a line in the center of the hall

•Each participant selects Heads or Tails

•If you select Heads – hands are on your head

•If you select Tails – hands are on your hips

•MC flips coin

•If Heads -  those selecting heads remain standing & those with tails sit down.

•If Tails -  those selecting tails remain standing & those with heads sit down.

•Repeat until winner

•Final two participants will be back to back.

Live Auction - Unique and Memorable Dining Experience for Six

We were the lucky winners of the Father Broheimer Dinner at last year’s St. Peter’s Catholic Trivia Night. We would highly encourage bidding on this very unique and memorable dining experience. This evening would be a wonderful special occasion dinner for your family, or a great way to share an evening with other couples.  A wine connoisseur would especially find the evening a revelation!

                                                                                               

This experience was such a wonderful way for our family to get to know Fr. Broheimer better and enjoy his company as he popped in and out of the kitchen introducing each course and each fabulous wine pairing.  He is a delightful host. The table was beautifully and elegantly set, and the wait staff superb.   

As the evening progressed, we were presented with course after course of elegantly prepared and beautifully presented French dishes- and did we mention the wine pairings?  Below is the menu Father Broheimer prepared for us on that delightful evening.

The March 2017 event will be featuring a “Denim and Diamonds – Discovering the Jewels in Our Catholic Faith” theme. The Denim & Diamonds theme allows participants to keep the perfect balance of glitz and comfort in their attire. Men may pair a jacket with their denim. Women are encouraged to wear your most ostentatious jewels and some form of denim. You’re encouraged to get creative!

Tickets include a hearty Italian dinner from Lo Sole Mio Ristorante Italiano and copious desserts. Beer and wine will also be available for a donation. Registration is preferably by team, though individuals may also register and will be coupled with others to form teams. This is a great opportunity to invite a favorite Priest or Sister or maybe someone new to St. Peter Parish.
